Ah, yes, it is 3/14 once again.  A mathematician’s dream day.  It is “Pi” Day!  I have searched the web for some ways to make a healthier pie.  Consider the following for a delicious healthy blueberry pie that is not only good for you, but delicious too.  It starts with boosting your fiber intake by using a recipe for whole wheat pie crust. Then for the filling use this yummy blueberry pie filling recipe that has less sugar than most regular blueberry pie fillings. I suggest swapping out the butter for Smart Balance® margarine.  This way you will be able to reduce the amount of saturated and trans-fats in your recipes.  Give it a try and see how healthy your pie can be for “Pi” Day.
